The artistic achievements of Eduardo Morales-Caso have revealed him to be a composer whose creative strength and works have become recognised by the public in concert halls, by musical experts and through the prizes he has received for his participation in prestigious international competitions. A Spanish composer born in Havana in 1969 of direct Asturian descent and a French great-grandmother, he completed his studies in Composition at the Instituto Superior de Arte of Cuba in 1994, under the tutelage of Harold Gramatges, Félix Guerrero, Carlos Fariñas and Joaquín Clerch. In 1996 hะต received a grant to undertake a course of advanced studies at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid under the guidance of Antón García Abril.

Eduardo Morales-Caso was the deserving winner with his piece Homenaje Guaraní of the first prize in the First International Composition Competition for Symphony Orchestra “Jose Asunción Flores” in Paraguay - UNESCO (2000). His winning piece The Garden of Lindaraja in the XIV International Composition Competition for Classical Guitar “Andrés Segovia” was premièred in the concert hall Okuruyama-Kinen, Tokyo (2001).

He then went on to receive first prize in the first edition of the International Composition Competition for Piano ILAMS in London 2001 with The Divine Shadows. In 2003 the prestigious institution of “Oscar B. Cintas Foundation” (New York) awarded him the “Cintas Fellowship 2003” for that year, thus permitting him to create The Domain of Light concerto for guitar and symphony orchestra.

The biography of Eduardo Morales-Caso and an extensive catalogue of his works is included in the Ibero-American and Spanish Dictionary of Music. His music has been released through the labels Picap, Lindoro, Sello Autor and Verso.
